Evaluate manufacturing capability
Ask how the factory controls neck geometry, fretwork, body finishing, electronics assembly, and final setup. CNC processing helps improve repeatability, but experienced technicians are still essential for sanding, fret dressing, wiring, finishing, and inspection.
A capable OEM supplier should also explain which parts are manufactured in-house, which components are sourced, and how incoming materials are checked. This makes it easier to identify quality risks before mass production begins.
Use the sample as a production standard
The approved sample should become a measurable reference rather than a visual suggestion. Confirm color, gloss level, neck profile, fret condition, pickup output, action, intonation, logo placement, accessories, and carton markings. Record the approved details so the production team and inspection team work from the same standard.
Look for consistent quality control
Inspection should cover appearance, dimensions, electronics, playability, and packaging. A reliable process checks instruments during production as well as before shipment. Finding a problem early is faster and less expensive than correcting a completed order.
Communication matters
